Hey, I’m Jenn.

I love a little downtown treasure hunting, a good local meal, and a home that makes everyday life feel right. Let’s find your version of Yukon—with room for your must-haves and a budget you can live with.

Start with how you want to live.

Compare the places you’ll actually go: work, groceries, parks and the stops that become your routine. These are starting points for exploring, not official neighborhood boundaries.

MAIN STREET CHARACTER

Put downtown on your route.

Start with Main Street’s shops, restaurants and Route 66 heritage. Visit at different times of day to see how the area fits your pace.

WHAT WE’LL LOOK AT TOGETHER

  • The actual walk or drive from each home.
  • Parking, traffic and nearby activity.
  • Condition, updates and maintenance needs.

A home you love. A plan that makes sense.

Before the front porch wins you over, let’s talk about the practical side of buying a home in Yukon.

YOUR REAL BUDGET

Look beyond the mortgage.

Include property taxes, insurance, any HOA dues, utilities and a repair cushion. We’ll also talk through closing costs and the cash you want left after moving day.

YOUR DAILY LIFE

Test the Tuesday version.

Drive your work route at the time you’d actually leave. Check the grocery run, the school route if relevant, and the places you’ll visit every week.

A pleasant Saturday showing tells only part of the story.

YOUR MUST-HAVES

Separate needs from wishes.

A gas stove, stone exterior, a workshop or less yard to mow? Tell me what matters. Then we’ll look at condition, roof and HVAC age, windows, doors and the details behind the pretty pictures.

Jenn’s take: I want you excited about your home—and comfortable with what comes after the keys. We’ll put your priorities on paper before we start falling in love with kitchens.

Jenn’s Picks: walks, finds & treats.

The local stops that make a house-hunting day feel a little more like home.

MY FAVORITE PLACE TO WALK IN YUKON

Freedom Trail Park

I LOVE Freedom Trail Park! This is my pick for the best walking trails in Yukon. If you’re getting to know the area, make time for a walk here—it’s one of the places I’m excited to share with you.

The city also lists picnic space, a playground and a seasonal splash pad.

MY DOWNTOWN SHOPPING STOP

Main Street Marketplace

I love browsing Yukon’s downtown shops, and Main Street Marketplace is one of my stops. Give me a little time to look around—finding something unexpected is half the fun.

FOR THE LOVE OF THE FIND

Antiques & local storefronts

I have a soft spot for local antique shops. Make a little time to browse instead of rushing straight through downtown.

More to explore: the Main Street directory lists Lost Time Antiques at 455 W. Main St.

JENN’S KRYPTONITE

Dairy Queen

That Turtle Pecan Cluster Blizzard is my kryptonite. I can negotiate a house. Apparently, I cannot negotiate with pecans and caramel.

Leave time for a downtown meal.

I love making local restaurants part of a downtown outing. Here are a couple of places to explore along Main Street:

Make room for a Yukon weekend.

Parks, local traditions and a little Route 66 wandering. A good day here doesn’t have to be complicated.

A WALK & A BREATHER

Chisholm Trail Park

Tree-lined walking trails, ponds and views from Boot Hill make this a starting point for a slower afternoon. The park also hosts displays during Christmas in the Park and activity during Freedom Fest.

PLAY, PICNIC & REPEAT

City Park

City Park has trails, playgrounds and tennis/pickleball courts. Bring a picnic and check current amenity schedules. Add it to your list when exploring Yukon’s parks.

ROUTE 66 & LOCAL TRADITIONS

A city with its own story.

Yukon’s Best Flour Mill is a Route 66 landmark. Czech heritage, downtown events and local music add more reasons to explore. Use the current calendars for festivals, including the Oklahoma Czech Festival.

Jenn’s take: Try Yukon on an ordinary day, too. A park walk, a little window shopping and a local lunch can tell you a lot about how you’d enjoy living here.

01

Browse Main Street.

Start with the storefronts. Window shopping is its own kind of treasure hunt.

02

Take a park break.

Pack a snack and make time for a walk before the next stop.

03

Choose your treat.

Keep it simple or make room in your outing budget for a meal. You already know my dessert vote.

Good questions before moving to Yukon.

Does a Yukon address mean Yukon Public Schools?

Don’t choose a school district by the mailing label alone. Confirm the exact property’s district and current school assignment directly with the applicable district before making a decision. Start with Yukon Public Schools when the property is identified as being in YPS.

What should I budget for beyond the house payment?

Property taxes, insurance, any HOA dues, utilities, upkeep, closing costs and moving expenses all deserve a place in the plan. Ask your lender and insurance agent for estimates tied to the actual home. CFPB’s homebuying budget guide explains the main cost categories.

Should I choose new construction or an existing home?

We’ll compare the actual homes and total cost: condition, layout, lot, included features, HOA obligations, warranty terms and inspection findings. The right answer starts with your priorities and the property—not just its age.

How long is the drive to Oklahoma City?

It depends on the exact home, your destination and the time of day. Test the route during your usual commute, and account for construction, traffic and any tolls on the route you choose.

Can Jenn help me compare Yukon with nearby areas?

Absolutely. We can compare Yukon and the surrounding metro using your budget, commute, home requirements and timing. Start with my Areas I Serve page, then tell me what matters most to you.

YOUR NEXT CHAPTER STARTS WITH A CONVERSATION

Could Yukon be your next home?

Tell me your must-haves, your budget and where life takes you each day. We’ll turn “maybe Yukon” into a plan that fits you.
